Derby Day!

Today was the annual Navigator Derby! Our fastest 5th and 6th graders competed for the fastest time and their own personal best.

Field Day Volunteers

Navigator School Field Day will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009.  A letter went home with students last week asking for volunteers.  If you would like to help out from 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., please return the slip to school or you may email Miss Smith (Physical Education Teacher) at smith@pcs.k12.mi.us .  Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.  If you have any questions regarding field day, please email Miss Smith or call (810) 225-5390.  Thank you!

Fiesta Del Verano 2009

To celebrate another successful year at Navigator School and the beginning of summer, we will be hosting an after school social  “Fiesta Del Verano 2009“, which will be held on Friday, May 29 from 3:15 – 4:30 p.m.  The cost is $3.00 in advance, which will benefit our sister school in Santa Cruz la Laguna, Guatemala.  The permission slip may be downloaded here: fiesta-del-verano-2009 We hope to see everyone there!

Navigator students prepare the morning announcements in the Navigator newsroom. Announcements are broadcast every morning over the TVs in our classrooms.

Yearbooks

May 4th, 2009

Yearbooks that were ordered through the mail will be distributed on Monday, June 1.  If your child did not order a yearbook, extra copies will be raffled off.  Students must bring $26.50 to school on June 1 and have their name entered into a drawing.  If their name is drawn, students pay the $26.50 and received their yearbook immediately.  There are a limited number of yearbooks available.

The yearbook signing party has been scheduled for Thursday, June 4th.  Fifth grade students will participate 8:20-9:09 a.m. and sixth grade students will participate 9:15-10:00 a.m.  Students that did not order a yearbook will be offered a FREE autograph page.

Field Day/Volunteer Luncheon

Navigator will have its Annual Field Day on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 rain or shine from 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  We are looking for volunteers!  Notes will be going home the week of May 18th or you may email Miss Smith at smith @pcs.k12.mi.us  if you would like to volunteer, or if you have any questions please call Miss Smith at (810) 225-5390.

We will also be recognizing our volunteers who have helped in a classroom, gone on a field trip, or worked on a special project, at our annual Volunteer Luncheon.  It will be held on June 9th from 11:00-12:00 p.m.  Thanks for making Navigator School a great place to learn!

Navigator Band Spring Concert

Everyone is invited to the Jane Tasch Theatre on May 21st at 7:00 p.m. for the annual Sixth Grade Band Spring Concert.  We hope you will join us for a memorable night of musical entertainment.  Admission is FREE.

Choir Concert

Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 28, 2009, when our 6th grade choir will present a concert at the Jane Tasch Theatre at 7:30 p.m.  We are sure you will enjoy the evening filled with oldies music, and hope to see you there.
